Summary:   State land sales begin in the spring and are scheduled annually at county courthouses. Mr. Rollyson offers information on how citizens can research and participate in these auctions offering surface property as well as oil, gas, coal and timber rights throughout West Virginia.

Summary:   The West Virginia Securities Commission is a division of the State Auditor’s Office. One of the outreach programs promoted by the Securities Commission is Seniors Against Investment Fraud, or SAIF. Another program is the Internet Safety and Security, or ISS. These programs brings speakers and educational material to educators, assisted living and senior centers, expos and group events around West Virginia warning attendees about dangerous investment scams that specifically target various age groups. Mr. Shelene and Mr. Ellis speak about how some of these scams operate and how you can include SAIF or ISS in your next group event.
