Summary:   Mr. Schafer and Mr. Fairhurst offer viewers of the State Dollar an exclusive tour of our state’s new online ambassador. Hundreds of thousands of citizens, vacationers, students, businesses and agencies view our state’s official website (www.wv.gov) as the primary resource to find goods and services in West Virginia. Mr. Schafer and Mr. Fairhurst demonstrate a new search capability that allows visitors to search the website by using “key words.” As an example, if you would like to find out hunting license options you can type in “hunting license” in the search box and with one click you’ll be sent to West Virginia’s Division of Natural Resources page where you look over the options and can even purchase and print out your license in a matter of minutes. If you have trouble finding what you are looking for, you will even be able to “chat” with a representative in real time. These and other new services are included in the segment.
