The Labor Division oversees the safety testing of carnival rides as the West Virginia State Fair gets underway.

Summary:   The National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOSH) is an often overlooked division of the United States’ Centers for Disease Control. NIOSH researches and utilizes the latest in science to help protect the health of our nation’s workforce. With a major research facility in Morgantown, scientists there have recently focused their attention on helping to protect coal miners from black lung disease and a new system that samples mine air for traces of dangerous gasses.
