16th Economic Outlook Conference
Expert economists David Wyss from Standard & Poor’s and Dr. George Hammond professor at WVU Bureau of Business and Economic Research were featured at the 16th Economic Outlook Conference in Charleston.
Panelists representing the state’s key business and industry sectors discussed implications of the economic forecast from their perspectives.
Dr. Hammond is associate director of the Bureau of Business and Economic Research
in the WVU College of Business and Economics. For more than a decade, he has
produced numerous forecasts and analyses of the state economy as well as many of the
state’s regional economies. He is often quoted in the state’s print and broadcast media, and
has provided briefings to the executive and legislative branches of state government.
Dr. Hammond publishes academic research on economic development, is an associate
professor in the College of Business and Economics and teaches in the Executive MBA
