Why:
State Auditor Glen B. Gainer III has launched a new program entitled “SAIF” or Seniors Against Investment Fraud complete with a dedicated webpage at www.wvsao.gov and the toll-free phone number 888-724-3982 (888-SAIF-WVA) to offer seniors a quick and easy link to the securities commission. The West Virginia Securities Commission regulates and enforces state securities law. Presentations for group meetings by state securities officials are offered at no charge. The phone number can also be used to report investment fraud and check the registration status of broker/dealers and certain investments.
