Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Editorial
Director to be on Charleston Call-In Show
(CHARLESTON) - West Virginia State Auditor and Securities Commissioner Glen B. Gainer III announced today that a new radio show will offer residents the chance to ask personal finance and investment questions to the editors of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine.
On June 16th, WCHS radio (580 AM) will begin a monthly "Ask the Expert" call-in program by welcoming on Kevin McCormally. McCormally oversees both The Kiplinger Letter and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine as editorial director. He is a frequent guest on national television and radio, and is a long-time contributor to the Nightly Business Report. He has twice been honored with the National Press Club’s Award for Best Consumer Journalism.
The six-part monthly radio series will be based on a new series of booklets produced by the Investor Protection Trust (IPT), Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine and the American Library Association entitled Investor Education @ Your Library. The West Virginia Securities Commission and West Virginia Library Commission have recently partnered to catalogue and distribute the booklets to state libraries and to offer a pilot training program for teachers and library officials. The booklets and future radio shows will be made available for download at www.wvsao.gov.
Two additional editors of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine are scheduled to take part in later shows. Manuel Schiffres is the executive editor and supervises the magazine’s investing section. Jeffrey Kosnett is a senior editor who specializes in investments and financial planning.
The Investor Education @ Your Library "Ask the Expert" radio call-in series will include the following topics and special guests:

October 20 - Getting Help with Investments with Jeffrey Kosnett
November 17 - Maximize Your Retirement Investments with Kevin McCormally
WCHS’s Rick Johnson and staff from the Securities Commission will host the series.
