The Auditor’s Office and Library Commission teamed up to promote investor education in West V
irginia by sending each library in the state a series of booklets produced by the Investor
Protection Trust, American Library Association and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance entitled
“Investor Education @ your library.” The commission and Auditor’s Office also set up a
training program for area librarians. Secretary Waggoner joined us to talk about libraries
in West Virginia and the investor education series.

State Auditor Glen B. Gainer III and AARP have teamed up to bring Seniors Against Investor
Fraud (SAIF) in West Virginia. This partnership is discussed as well as a new program being
worked on for 2007 called Campaign for Wise and Safe Investing, which is another program
developed with Investor Protection Trust and the AARP Foundation.
