“Everyone here at the State Auditor’s Office is deeply saddened by the loss of Doug Skaff,” said Auditor Mark Hunt.
“Doug wasn’t just a colleague – he was a personal friend of mine for years. He had a sharp mind and genuine character, and his devotion to West Virginia was evident in everything he did.
From his time in the House of Delegates to his leadership in the private sector, Doug served this state with integrity and passion. I was shocked to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Marisa and their three sons during this heartbreaking time. Doug’s contributions to West Virginia – as a public servant and as a friend – will never be forgotten.”
