The West Virginia Volunteer Fire Department Workers’ Compensation Premium Subsidy Program (House Bill #103) is designed to assist VFDs by reimbursing the premium increase in the Workers’ Compensation Policy for Class Code 7711 (Volunteer Fire Fighters). The West Virginia State Auditor was tasked with developing the program to provide the reimbursements. To determine the initial reimbursement amount, the current year estimated premium will be compared to last year’s premium information as provided by BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company. A final reimbursement payment may be made as soon as all of the final audits for this policy year have been completed.
You may apply for reimbursement anytime after July 1, 2011. If you’ve paid your initial estimated premium please complete the WV VFD Workers' COMP INITIAL ESTIMATED PREMIUM FORM. If you’re applying for the final reimbursement, please complete the WV VFD Workers' COMP FINAL AUDIT PREMIUM REIMBURSEMENT FORM.
